Accommodation at SEA

SEA can offer our students a wide range of excellent accommodation options.

Host Family

Our families are carefullu selected and regulary monitored. We have very high standards for our homestay accommodation. You will have your own room with desk, lamp and all bedding. Breakfast and dinner are provided each day and breakfast lunch and dinner on the weekend. Tha average time from homestay to school is 15 minutes by public transport.

SEA is in direct contact with all homestay families.

Backpacker Hostel

For students who do not want homestay for their entire stay, we recommend that they stay with a family for their first 4 weeks. This gives the student time to adjust to life in Australia while viewing the residential accommodation options.

We recommend two backpacker hostels, the Manly Backpackers (www.manlybackpackers.com.au) and Boardriders Backpacker (www.boardrider.com.au).

Self contained rooms

Manly Bungalows (www.manlybungalow.com) provide self-contained rooms with all cooking faclities and shared bathroom. Ideal for singles or couples, these rooms are private and quiet and only a short walk from the beach and school.

Guest houses

The Periwinkle Hotel is a boutique guesthouse on the blue waters of beautiful Manly Cove. Built in 1895 on an original land grant, Periwinkle Guesthouse (www.periwinkle.citysearch.com.au) is among a small number of surviving buildings from the Federation era and one of the most charming places to stay in Manly. With an ambience often likened to buildings situated in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Periwinkle is nonetheless Aussie to the core. Cool and quiet with ceiling fans, antiques and attractive cane furniture, the decor complements perfectly the guesthouse's location by the blue waters of Manly Cove and the nearby ocean.

Shared Accommodation

Many of SEA's students choose homestay or hostel accommodation first then look for shared accommodation. SEA provides a student noticeboard with shared accommodation advertisements. SEA staff will help you search local newspapers for share accommodation, make phone calls and give directions.  Because of the family atmosphere at SEA someone will always be ready to help you.
