GeoQuest
A week of walking, exploring, mapping and performing in the English Riviera Global Geopark, to celebrate our landscape, history and community.
GeoQuest is a performance walk from the Valley of the Rocks at Watcombe, Torquay to Berry Head in Brixham.
Three Guides or 'Questions', musician/composer Hugh Nankivell, writer Phil Smith and performer Tony Liddington, will walk Torbay by day researching, creating, finding and telling new ideas, stories and songs about the land and the communities they pass, plus inventing a new geocultural map.
In a series of evening events along the way the artists invite you to join them to help bring to life the great transformations that have shaped our landscape and our lives.
Each GeoQuest evening starts with a free short exploratory walk, followedd by a ticketed 8pm performance, a talk from a Geopark expert and a simple shared meal (included in the ticket price.)

At each walk you will be given a map upon which to note your own geo-discovery: places, landmarks, stories and memories that are important to you. These will inform the wider geo-cultural map of the English Riviera being collated by the artists.

Brixham Heritage Festival
A fantastic annual celebration featuring live music, dance displays, concerts, children's entertainment, exhibitions, classic car rallies, crabbing competitions, ghost walks, a carnival parade and fireworks on the opening and closing Saturdays.
