August 2009

With the end of the summer season approaching The School breathes a collective sigh of relief and looks back on another busy and productive time.

We can’t take things too easy though, work is already underway setting things up in the new London school and places are nearly all taken on our next three teacher training courses.

We’ve decided to show off some of the work our young learners have produced this summer to give you an idea of what they are capable of doing when they realise that learning English at LAL Torbay can be fun.

Kevin takes us into the spit and sawdust world of the cowboy films in his monthly film article and from the land we move to the sea, as we look at the forthcoming Plymouth Navy Days and find out about our very own David Hughes’s naval career.
