Food and Art Festival
Expect over 30 food and arts stalls providing shoppers with a mouth watering taster of the finest food and drink in the locality. There will also be an opportunity to see and buy an array of beautiful handmade arts and crafts from some of region's most talented artists, as well as participating in family craft workshops, from paint-your-own ceramics with China Blue to drawing master classes and even an Open Mic music opportunity to show off your talent!
The Festival has attracted some great local and regional producers in its line up - from the finest Chocolate Heaven Made in Devon to Yarde Ice Cream. The Festival also boasts a spicy twist from the Thai Star Restaurant and Thai Delight accompanied by some exotic Thai Dancing to entertain the crowds. There will also be a Cookery Theatre sponsored by Caterfood, with demonstrations by some of our very best local and regional chefs headed up by the Grand Hotel's very own Richard Hunt. Richard will be appearing on Channel 4 TV later this month in 'Iron Chef' and he will certainly be on his mettle for us as he pits his skills against the public in various cooking challenges. He will be joined by Peter Gorton from the highly acclaimed Horn of Plenty. They will use the produce on sale to create some simple and tasty meals. There will be prizes on offer too, including dinner for two at The Grand and a beautiful hamper of local food.
A fantastic two day festival that's not to be missed!
