Our Business English Intensive course combines 15 hours of Business English lessons with an additional 7.5 hours of afternoon lessons also focussing on Business English according to a set syllabus, with the ability to be adapted to small groups of students. This course is designed to promote confidence among the students when in a business situation, or when needing to use English for professional, business purposes. The smaller class size is designed to allow the teacher to provide a degree of individual help to the students.

This 22.5 hour per week course is for those students who want to not only communicate effectively in everyday business situations but also gain a sound understanding of the principles of the English language.

The morning and afternoon lessons are designed around a business course book and provide the opportunity for students to improve the skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking as well as enhancing and increasing their active / working vocabulary and grammar knowledge related to various aspects of business. Through the study of ‘survival’ English and ‘everyday’ English students can expect to achieve a new level of learner autonomy and confidence in business and everyday situations.

Course books may be hired or bought from LAL Torbay.
