About Malta

Malta has adopted a number of traditions which were brought to the island by the British: English tea, red letter boxes and telephone kiosks, left-side driving and the English language are now integral parts of Malta’s culture and life-style.

Maltese people are well-known for their hospitality, friendliness and warm-hearted Mediterranean culture. The history, ever-growing tourism and the increasing number of foreigners living here permanently have all contributed to making Malta one of the most visitor-friendly countries in Europe.
