Teacher Refresher Training for Non-native Secondary Level Teachers of English

Designed specifically with the teaching needs of second level teachers in mind, this skills refresher course aims to help practitioners:

to keep up with recent changes and developments in language teaching
to update and develop their skills
to refresh and develop their command of English

Teacher Refresher Training for Non-native Primary Level Teachers of English

Designed specifically for Primary school teachers who teach English to young learners of 6 to 13 years of age. The objectives of this programme are:

to update and develop Primary school teachers language skills in order to gain more confidence in the classroom
to keep up with recent changes and developments in language teaching for young learners
to evaluate and explore materials for young learners
to engage in workshops and other activities comparing education systems in different European countries

Certificate in English Language Teaching

The Certificate in English Language Teaching (CELT) programme offered by Atlantic Language Galway is recognised and validated by the Advisory Council for English Language Schools in Ireland (ACELS). The course aims to provide course trainees with the skills necessary to teach English as a foreign language (EFL) and to develop a greater awareness of the English language. It will also introduce trainees to current EFL practices and fundamental concepts in EFL.
