Cape Town

Cape Town is considered one of South Africa’s most striking cities with its beautiful beaches, sleepy fishing villages and historic towns. The Winelands and the famous Garden Route provide the visitor with almost limitless photo opportunities, but perhaps the best view of the city is from the 1087-metre summit of Table Mountain - its most famous landmark.

Cape Town is an interesting mix of architectural styles, reflecting the influences of those who have contributed to its development - there are Victorian and Edwardian buildings, mosques, malls and markets.

South Africa is the perfect location to combine English lessons with lots of fun and adventure! LAL Cape Town runs a young learner centre for ages 13-18, with:

  • 16 classrooms
  • Internet café, large student lounge, swimming pool, and garden with barbecue
  • on-site student residence
  • Jan - Feb and Jul - Aug 2012
