Work experience at LAL Torbay
You can combine tuition with a Work Placement in an employment sector that interests you.
After a minimum of one week's tuition with 22.5 hours Intensive English per week, a minimum of three weeks' work placement will follow. We have an extensive range of employment sectors for you to choose from:

To make sure that we will find a job that suits your requirements you will fill in a questionnaire.
You’ll be escorted to your place of work on your first day and introduced to the Supervisor in charge of you training period.
We aim to provide the same accommodation for the whole stay. If we can’t find a local work placement due to a special request within a specific field of interest we will try to find an accommodation closer to the work placement.
During the work placement there will be a weekly evening meeting in a local café/bar in order to help you to mix with other students.
On completion of the programme you’ll be presented with a performance related Certificate acknowledging the contribution you have made to the organisation you have worked for. You will also receive a certificate for the taught part of the course.
