the programme

Our partner Avante offers a unique programme which combines both Spanish and English tuition plus different cultural and sport activities held either in English or Spanish. The activities completely immerse foreign students in Spanish - the main language on camp. 60% of the students will be from Spain (to learn English) and 40% from other countries (to learn Spanish), including Italy, France, Germany,
Switzerland, Russia, Turkey and the USA. The programme is a combination of language learning, Spanish culture and sports. All students get 15 hours English or Spanish tuition per week plus different cultural and sport activities held either in English or Spanish.

Dates 2009:
Session 1: 2 weeks, 5th July – 18th July
Session 2: 2 weeks, 19th July – 1st August
Session 3: 3 weeks, 5th July – 25th July
Session 4: 4 weeks, 5th July – 1st August

Accommodation:

Students are accommodated in triple and quadruple rooms in the Calanova and Reina Sofia Residences, an ideal environment in the centre of the premier Marina of Calanova Port in Mallorca. What is more, our
students are exclusively accommodated there and under the close 24 hours supervision of our staff. All meals are served in the residence restaurants.

Leisure

Thanks to the excellent location, all the students can take part in multiple water activities including sailing, kayaking, wakeboarding, canoeing, and windsurfing. All these sports are taught and monitored by the Calanova National Sailing School, one of the most prestigious in Spain.

Other sports and activities include football, beach volley ball, table tennis, international shows, beach parties, blind dates, cinema, disco and cultural excursions at the weekend.

Mallorca's airport is located in Palma de Mallorca (PMI) and students will be met at the airport by Avante staff.

Student visa information

Student visa information

If you hold a passport from one of the European Union countries then you do not need a visa.

If you are from the United States, Canada, Australia, Israel, New Zealand, Norway, Switzerland or Iceland you can stay up to 90 days without a visa.

If you are a citizen from another country, check with your local Spanish consulate or embassy. You can find a list at the Spanish Ministry of Foreign affairs.
